Acclaimed Bela Fleck bassist Victor Wooten has autographed (?) a duplicate of his bass rig and AMS is giving it away! The whole thing is worth about $2k and includes the following stuff:

  • The Hartke LH1000
  • The Hartke HX410 HyDrive Bass Cabinet
  • The Hartke HX115
That's some pretty big beef to fit in your garage/baby's room. Hey those mobiles don't turn by themselves right? Also, if you win this thing and you're not a bass player, I think you could make more money by renting it out to get rid of opossums, raccoons, and skunks from under your house. I've heard they're not big fans of 50 Hz @ 120 dB.

Man we hit some serious shopping carts to get the lowest price on this one. I know, I know: why spend so much time on something as trivial as sustain pedal? Well, you don't hear too much about shipping costs for items that are under $99 at most audio retailers or even $25 if we're talking about Amazon.

So for this round, Abe's of Maine clocked in with the lowest price on the M-Audio SP-1 Sustain Pedal for only $19.98 shipped. We ran into some great deals on the pedal itself from other retailers, but once shipping was added they came to over $26 - and one lesser known site even claimed to have free shipping on everything! Yuck.

Quickie specs:

  • Sustain foot pedal or FS controller
  • For synthesizers, tone modules, and drum machines
  • 5-foot cable with 1/4-inch phone plug

Have you priced high quality mic cables lately? Yeah. Pricey. Sometimes you just want something to jam into an SM57 or take on the road and won't cry over losing a $40 cable that had a mojito spilled all over it. Enter this $5 mic cable at Amazon which is touted from the description as "Brand New" and "High Quality". What more could you ask for from anything in your life? We didn't even bother doing research on this becuase it was so affordable as is. I checked the shipping charges on purchasing 5 of these things and it came to $9.24 totaling $34.94.

zZounds has the best deal we found on a 5 pack of On-Stage Tripod/Boom Microphone Stands for only $93.94 w/ shipping included. That's less than $19 per stand shipping included. Seriously, you can't have enough of these. Between guitarists knocking these over thrusting their guitars their legs and and your lead singer constantly simulating sexy moves, you'll want a fresh one to pull out of the closet that can be Lysol'd repeatedly. Quickie specs:

  • Solid cast end with standard 5/8-27 threads
  • Long 30 in. boom with molded plastic counterweight
  • Euro-Style boom (so debonair! keep a way from girlfriend!) with separate clutches for length and angle of boom. Allows user to make one-handed adjustments of boom angle while performing
  • Professional quality die-cast zinc clutch locks vertical shaft at any height from 36 - 63 in.
  • Clip-on cable holder
  • Steel-reinforced plastic leg housing offers less weight and exceptional strength
  • Folding legs with plastic endcaps for durability and reduced floor vibration.
  • Base spread: 23 in.

You can win your very own Tascam Pocket Studio from Pro Sound and Stage Lighting. While I wouldn't exactly call it "pocket" worthy, you can jam this sweet piece of gear in just about anything larger than a sandwich bag and retails for about $200. This video give a good run down starting at about :26 seconds in:

We looked all over the confounded contest entry page and couldn't find any sort of deadline except that the drawing is on May 1st.

We actually dug through just about every deal from Musician's Friend had for their Free Gifts With Gear You Love promo and the deal for the MXL 4000 Multi-Pattern FET Condenser Mic w/ Free MXL 603S Pencil Mic came out on top for the price of the purchase product vs the value of the free gift for only $179 plus the XML 603s which has a street value of $99.

The next best contender was the Rode Podcaster USB Microphone for $229 and the free Rode Popper Stopper (it's a pretty beefy one too) that seems to go for $49 street value. As an FYI, all the Rode mics in this promotion come with the Popper Stopper.

This the lowest price we found on the Zoom H4 Handy Digital Recorder from a reputable seller. The next lowest price we found was $222 and seems to be priced at $239 on the street. Abe's Maine has the in-cart price of $49 on the JOEMEEK JM27 Small Diaphragm Studio Microphone. You can never have enough condensers in your studio and I'm betting this mic is a great deal even at it's normal price of $79 simply because they put Joe Meek's name on the label. As always, these in-cart prices can change at any time, so pick it while it's hot. Free shipping.
