Fleet Foxes are going back into the barn to record a new album...or a chapel...or...hm. Anyway, while the "recording in a chapel" thing has been done many times over to the point of being cliche, they plan to add a theater and a water chamber among locales to get true ambient qualities in their recordings.

Out of all the bands out there right now, Fleet Foxes seem to have the best grip on adding space to their records. Sure the Arcade Fire built their studio into a chapel with the old pipe organ, but the Foxes ambient recordings make their music more than just bearded folk music, it brings a unexpected sense of grandeur.
